GAME GUIDE

Starting the Game
Start GoLive2 Racing by clicking on the GoLive2 Racing icon located on your computers desktop:  
The game will automatically check for software updates prior to starting the game. (This game requires Internet access.)

You will need to log into the system to begin the game. Use the same Username and Password you use to log into GoLive2. After logging into the game you will have the option to immediately begin racing or go to the lounge. We suggest beginners start in the lounge area to get acquainted with the game.

Your Avatar

Place your mouse on the back of your online persona or “Avatar” to modify your gender, hair color, origin, and other image customizations. Selections are limited until you gain additional racing experience or you have upgraded your account to the Gold Membership.

The Lounge / Map

Move your avatar by using your arrow keys. Use your mouse keys to approach the NPC/bot (non-player character) – a woman located in the lounge area. She will offer you a map tutorial. This short tutorial will explain the map located in the upper right portion of the screen. Touch the map to enlarge the map. While the map is enlarged select an area in the map and you will be transported to that area of the game.

The lounge area is a place where people often come to talk with other drivers. It is also a great place to recruit team players or to challenge others to race.

Chat Window
In the bottom left portion of the screen you will see the Chat Window. You can select common phrases and responses using your button selections. With the Gold Membership, you will have keyboard access to write whatever comments you would like in addition to key phrases/gestures.

Main Menu
In the upper right portion of the screen you will see “Main Menu”. This button will give you the option to customize your game environment, review your account, check out the highest scoring players, and exit the game.

Paddock Area
The Paddock is an area where you can get additional support through NPC’s. The NPC will give you information about customizing your game environment. Feel free to browse the information provided by the NPC.

Racing Clothes (Gold Membership Required)
Racing Clothes is where you can purchase close to customize the look of your avatar.

Team Membership (Gold Membership Required)
The Team Membership area is where you can create and manage your team. In this area you get to find out which teams are leading the pack and which ones need to be taken down a notch!

Garage (Gold Membership Required)

We saved the best for last. The Garage is where you can customize your ride. See what happens when you tighten your suspension. Use higher performance tires to hug the corners better. The garage is a place to tune your ride. But, remember, some adjustments are great for some tracks but may be a poor decision for others. You will have to use your experience to know the difference!

Racing Controls
Up Arrow = Accelerate
Down Arrow = Brake
Right Arrow = Steer Right
Left Arrow = Steer Left
Right Ctrl = Rearview Mirror Look
Tab = Change Camera Viewpoint (Close, Cockpit, Far)

Racing Display
Upper left corner – Number of laps (driven / total)
Upper right corner – Your position in the race
Lower right corner – Track map; your position in relation to others

Point Awards
After you have completed the race and crossed the finish line a window will appear to inform you of the results and point awards. The amount of point distributed to players depends on the track length and number of laps driven.
